The beset official speaking to Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Dino Melaye, has expressed gratitude toward Nigerians for remaining by him amid his travails in the hands of those he portrayed as the "State."

Melaye is being arraigned by the Nigeria Police in two separate courts.

He included, "The state released its crude power on me and discharged a 200-man-solid completely outfitted policemen on a man without a blade or a projectile. It did this since I called treachery by its name and called for responsibility. For this, they tried to break my soul and obliterate me forever.
"In their snapshot of rule, I was completely shackled. With my situation is anything but hopeful to my back and heaved into a dim isolation sitting tight for the butchers cut, you, my kin, remained by me. You came against a seething flame and confronted oppression, lies, dirty lucre, unfairness, abuse and covetousness.
"While oblivious and unfit to battle for myself, they looked to take my command, which you had uninhibitedly given to me, yet you replied back and extinguished double dealing afterward. You stood unfaltering and undaunted and shielded your command to me.
"In all seriousness. In their endeavor to break me, they have made me more grounded."
The administrator expressed gratitude toward each one of the individuals who remained with all due respect and went to him "after I was harmed and in this way confined at the doctor's facility."
He stated, "You have reinforced my determination and solidified my substance against the individuals who try to eat up and make meat of me. You have by and by demonstrated to me the saying in the truism that 'in success, our companions know us; in difficulty, we know our companions.' I am exceptionally thankful. For your purpose, I stay unbowed.
"I know a large number of you stress over my security and life in this new administration where life is not any more hallowed in Nigeria, yet don't be beset. Reverend Martin Luther King Jnr. once stated, 'Weakness makes the inquiry: is it safe? Practicality makes the inquiry: is it governmental issues? Vanity makes the inquiry: is it famous? In any case, Conscience makes the inquiry: is it right?' And there comes a period when one must take a position that is neither safe nor political nor well known, however one must take it since it is correct.
"To my kin, I guarantee you this and this as it were. I have taken my position; I won't keep down, I won't hold my tranquility, I won't be closed down, neither will I quiets down, not as long as foul play and misrepresentation keeps on ruling.
"For whatever length of time that I will live, I won't bow to Baal."
