FG scraps award of HND certificates by Polytechnics in the country The Nigerian Government has rejected honor of HND declarations by Polytechnics. The choice was come to at the Federal Executive Council, FEC today where the endorsement of an exhaustive change of Nigeria's tertiary training framework was made. As a result, the honor of HND will be restricted to just the understudies at present conceded for the projects. Additionally, every one of the projects as of now being controlled by polytechnics, which are not innovation based, and which are around 70 for every penny, will be rejected. Under the new govern, the polytechnics will now progress toward becoming grounds of the proximate colleges with the Vice Chancellors of those colleges naming executives for the polytechnics, subject to the sanction of the Universities Councils.
